The tear2020video

"We are human to the extent that every quality of the human has been torn from a central and neutral substance that the patriarchy of the Enlightenment liked to call 'Man'". Timothy Morton In these extraordinary times, man as a species turns his gaze toward himself. Isolated from his social environment, he senses his survival is threatened and begins to relive the trauma of separation from his origin. The human and the non-human draw close again. Between desire and rejection of this union, an ambiguous movement appears. As in a childhood game, attachment and detachment repeat, forming a persistent dichotomy. Mud, clay, and water refer to a primitive origin, to a raw material of existence. The puppet, for its part, recalls the constructed dimension of the subject, a form shaped by social, cultural, and symbolic forcesThe tear.

When the desert reclaims
Grain of gold2026video

A graphite and charcoal frame, broken then repaired with gold. Before it, a mountain of coal, both a refuge and an obstacle. In its heart, a seed of gold awaits. The work dialogues with kintsugi: the fracture is not hidden, it is illuminated. Darkness is not an end, but a threshold. What seems to be a ruin is perhaps a seed in waiting. A space to look at what is broken. A promise that something can germinate.
